In retrospect, I should have drawn this more like a comic cover, or made a better attempt at driving home that it’s meant to be a new X-Men cartoon.
Also, I wasn’t aware until years later that my ridiculous idea - giving Wolverine a claw on his thumb - was already actually a thing for a character called Romulus.

I entered a reddit comic tournament! The theme I had to write for this round was “writer’s block”. So here’s my submission.
Initially, the premise here made zero sense… after all, real life Kwip has plenty of experience to draw from. But then I decided that Kwip of the Chipmunk Bay universe is actually a shut-in loser who only watches tv and plays video games!
Disaster averted.
